The major intent of corporate social responsibility is to make major impacts on society. These impacts have gone ahead to help the less privileged in achieving their goals and long-awaited dreams. Thus, with the sole aim of changing smiles and helping those who can’t afford a smile makeover, Project Smile was born in 2011.
Project Smile is championed by the best dental clinic in Nigeria, Smile360. The project Initiator Dr. Amy Shumbusho believes that everyone deserves to smile. However, many Nigerians who have impacted dentition tend to also have limited resources to fix them. Since its inception in 2011, the project has impacted many beneficiaries.
This year 2020 will be no different. Project Smile has always run with three phases:
Phase 1 known as the Call to entry Phase through Email Submission.
The project launched on October 19th, 2020, with proper awareness through paid advertising to get the target audience to register for the competition. Entries closed on the 19th of November. Project Smile is open to both Lagos and Abuja Residents.
Phase 2: Selection and Nomination
After the first phase, entries are thoroughly screened and judged. The panel of Judges will determine the winners in different levels of winning categories- Severe, Moderate, and Mild.
Phase 3: Smile Makeover Phase
This phase is where the treatment phase begins. The two winners of this year will commence their treatment. An announcement will be made on our social media and website of the winners. As of the day this article was penned down, Project Smile 2020 has stopped collecting entries and yet to announce winners. Once winners are selected the public as a whole would be notified.
