Dr Amy Traore-Shumbusho (DDS, CES ODF, DU ORTH, France)
Dr. Amy Traore-Shumbusho, known as Dr. Amy, is the driving force behind the evolution of her Dental practice, Smile 360, into Africa’s largest and most successful establishment, with branches in Lagos and Abuja. As the CEO and Founder of Orthodontic Dental Enterprise, she embodies a profound dedication to dentistry, outstanding customer service, and visionary leadership.
Leading a team of over 90 professionals, Dr. Amy has positioned Smile 360 at the forefront of dental care with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art facilities, earning recognition as the Best Dental Provider in Nigeria by the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards since 2015 and for the 7th time in 2023.
Beyond her roles at Smile 360 and Orthodontic Dental Enterprise, Dr. Amy founded Project Smile, extending dental care assistance to those facing challenges without the financial means. As a multifaceted visionary leader, Dr Amy has held esteemed positions as the Past President of the Nigerian Association of Orthodontists (2021/2022) and the Immediate Past President of Eagle Toastmasters (2022/2023).
Beyond dentistry, she is a sought-after speaker and business figure, dedicated to empowering African women in Dentistry through the Wealthy Women Dentist Academy, emphasizing Professional Success, Running Profitable practices, while living Healthy Wealthy, and Loved.
With over twelve years of experience in dental practice, Dr Bharat is proficient in prosthetic rehabilitation involving dental implants, conventional fixed and removable partial dentures. As a Dental Consultant in Smile360, he enjoys the availability of various cutting-edge technologies, which supports his expertise and enables him better serve his patients’ unique dental care needs by providing them with individualized solutions.
Dr. Bharat is very passionate about personal & professional growth and remaining on trend with new discoveries, trends and innovations within the dental profession.
He enjoys travelling and listening to music.
As part of her professional practice, Dr Nidhi practices both adjunctive and comprehensive orthodontics using various systems like Damon, Insignia, Invisalign MBT and biprogressive treatments.
Dr. Nidhi joined the Smile360 team in March 2022 as an Orthodontic Consultant, where she demonstrates excellence in clinical reasoning, diagnosis and treatment planning, performing orthodontic surgeries and complex treatment modalities like surgical exposures of impacted teeth, TAD placement and naso-alveola modalities. She also has a keen interest in smile designing and cosmetic dentistry as well.
A Silver Medalist in the orthodontic & dentofacial orthopedics field, Dr. Nidhi achieved thirteen distinctions in various subjects while in university. She has three international publications to her name and is actively involved in various research projects.
graduated from Himachal Pradesh University, India with a Bachelor’s degree in
Dental Surgery, then worked as a Senior Dental Surgeon in New Delhi India for
four years, performing a variety of pediatric, cosmetic and general dentistry
procedures.
In 2011, Dr. Sharma received her license to practice professionally in Nigeria.
Joining the Smile360 team in 2018 as a General Dentist, Dr. Sharma specializes in
Pediatric and Digital dentistry and has since been a major driver of the Project
Smile Initiative (an annual CSR Initiative by Smile360).
A fluent speaker of English and Hindi, Dr. Sharma is a professional member of
Nigerian Dental Association, the Indian Dental Association and holds a certificate
from the International Red Cross Society in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
Away from work, Dr. Sharma loves reading and enjoys classical dancing.
His career as a Dentist started at the Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia. In October 2014, he joined Dental Heights Clinic as a General Dentist where he focused on root canal treatment, Oral Prophylaxis, Bleaching and Fluoride treatment among others.
Prior to joining Smile360 as a Dental Consultant, he worked at M&S Dental Clinic as a General Dentist and was also a visiting Consultant in various Dental Clinics in NCR, New Delhi.
Dr. Ahmed has exceptional skills in full mouth rehabilitation, maxio-facial implants, Conventional implants and Implant Prosthesis, Tooth supported dentures, dental veneers and laminates. Precise and with a highly technical approach to treatments, Dr. Ahmed’s topmost concern is patient satisfaction.
Out of office, Dr Ahmed is very active on social media, loves to travel and explore new places.
Dr. Amaka returned to Nigeria, worked with various dental practices and joined Smile360 Dental Specialists as a Dentist in November 2016.
While she enjoys all areas of dentistry, she has become extremely interested in orthodontics, keeping patient satisfaction paramount while working to create beautiful smiles daily.
For leisure she enjoys watching movies, travelling and spending time with family.
Dr. Amaka is registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, the Ghana Medical Association and a member of Ghana Dental Association.
Dr Sylvia Amede has over 10 years of practice experience across both the private and public health sectors. She started her clinical practice in Ghana with Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and Ridge Regional Hospital, Accra. She then returned to Nigeria to perform her National Youth Service (NYSC) with Maitama Regional Hospital, Abuja. Dr. Amede subsequently worked at Afe Dental Clinic and Kelina Hospital in the FCT prior to joining Smile360 in 2019.
Dr. Amede has an interest in Aesthetics and channels this into creating beautiful smiles. She has a special interest in Orthodontics, the use of Aligner technology and cosmetic dentistry.
She also has special interest in community dental health, and this has led her to volunteer with several NGOs such as Global Brigades, a non-profit which provides dental care in rural areas with little or no access to standard dental health centers.
When she isn’t creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Sylvia loves listening to music, dancing, travelling, reading (loves African literature) and DIY crafts.
Dr Sylvia is a professional member of the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and a fully registered member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
While he enjoyed all areas of dentistry, his major interests are Endodontics, Surgical dentistry and Implantology. Dr Damilola strongly believes in pain-free dentistry and as such makes it a point of call to ensure all his patients enjoy a pleasurable and painless dental experience.
He is married with children, and enjoys singing, listening to music and watching football.
